Filet Mignon With Garlic Herb Butter #fillet #beefsteaks
Easy to make Filet Mignon at home with garlic herb butter and it really tastes phenomenal. Sounds fancy but it's not that different from a regular steak. Give it a try.
Ingredients:
8 oz filet mignon steaks
3 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp olive oil
salt and ground pepper
fresh chopped parsley
For the herb butter:
1/2 cup butter, room temp
2 tsp fresh rosemary, parsley and oregano, chopped
1 Tbsp fresh oregano
2 garlic cloves, minced
Remove steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Preheat the oven to 400F. Heat a cast iron or oven safe skillet on medium high, add olive oil and butter and cook steaks for 2 minutes, flip, add rosemary sprigs and cook for another 2 minutes. Place pan in the preheated oven and cook for 7-8 minutes or until desired doneness. Remove the skillet from the oven, add about a teaspoon of garlic herb butter on top of the steaks and let it rest for 4-5 minutes.
Herb Butter:
In a bowl add butter, chopped herbs, and garlic. Mix well and place on a piece of plastic wrap, roll and twist the ends. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
