House Debate on AG Garland in "Inherent Contempt" Resolution
House lawmakers debated a resolution from Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) that would hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in “inherent contempt” for refusing to provide Congress with audio recordings of President Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur as part of the Justice Department’s classified documents investigation. The resolution also calls for the Attorney General to be fined 10-thousand dollars each day he refuses to turn over the audio.
