Spring trout fishing at Fishtrap Lake

Today I am taking a trip to a small lake that I have not been to for years. The lake was rehabilitated in 2017 by WDFW. I was curious to see how it was for fishing. The weather started very cold in the morning at 39f, it was windy but warmed up a bit by the afternoon. I managed to catch two very old looking stocked trout. I kept the smaller one as he had been hooked deep. The larger of the two I released, looked pretty beat up and these big old fish are not the best for cooking. I was using Macks lures mini wiggle squids behind a small flasher tipped with worm. I fished for about 7 hours did not have any luck with other species. I thought it was odd to not have caught any smaller trout either. The cold weather may have played a part.
