Alec Baldwin Trial Stare Down: Alec locks eyes with officer that was at the scene

The jury in the involuntary manslaughter case against actor Alec Baldwin is set to hear opening statements in court today. This comes after attorneys on both sides agreed to a jury on Monday.

This case is in connection to the shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Baldwin claims a gun went off in his hands accidently as they were rehearsing a scene for the movie "Rust". Baldwin faces up to 18 months in prison if convicted.

The film's armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed is currently serving an 18-month sentence for involuntary manslaughter. She was convicted of allowing live rounds on the set of the film.
