Psalm 37:12-17: These verses contrast the wicked and the righteous, highlighting that the wicked plot against the righteous but will ultimately be defeated by the Lord. The Lord supports the righteous, while the power of the wicked will be broken.

Proverbs 30:7-9: The writer prays for two things: to be kept from falsehood and to be given neither poverty nor riches. He desires only his daily bread to avoid dishonoring God through either extreme of want or excess.

Luke 17:11-19: Jesus heals ten lepers, but only one, a Samaritan, returns to thank him. Jesus commends the grateful man’s faith, highlighting the importance of gratitude and faith in receiving God’s blessings.

John 7:1-13: Jesus avoids going to Judea because the Jewish leaders seek to kill him. His brothers, skeptical of his mission, urge him to show himself publicly at the Feast of Tabernacles. Jesus eventually goes in secret. There is much speculation about him among the people, but they are afraid to speak openly due to fear of the Jewish leaders.
