FrankWalks Season 1 Wrap

Today, we officially wrap season one of FrankWalks. The final episode is a compilation special of the best moments from the 18 episode season.

MikeyBets pushed me to push Frank to start walking everyday (months before either of us were hired). A streak started in September that is unbroken to this day (286 consecutive days walking).

Bets started the fire.

The FrankWalks series started organically close to Frank’s 100th straight day walking, because JJ Watt responded to one of Frank’s weigh in videos with encouragement.

JJ was DMing with me (an absolute no one) directly within an hour and agreed to meet Frank at 7 AM on a Sunday morning at his hotel to walk together to the CBS studios, in the middle of the cold NYC winter. THE SHOW DIDN’T EVEN EXIST YET! We brought Ben Klein to record and Frank Walks was born.

JJ is supportive and responsive to this day, despite being a relatively busy guy. Somehow, he’s better a human in real life than he seems to be on social media.

Dave Portnoy immediately got behind the idea and was our most viewed episode when he gave us a full hour during a crazy week to be a guest. Big Cat got us directly in touch with SVP, who like JJ Watt is absurdly chill and down to earth. Since SVP walked with Frank, I haven’t heard Frank say a bad word about him. I’ve even heard him defend SVP.

Without the support of people like Dave, Big Cat, Gaz, the sales team, the marketing team, the merch team, the production team, and everyone else behind the scenes at Barstool that don’t get the spotlight, this wouldn’t have been possible.

We are eternally grateful to @ BodyArmor for being the lead sponsor of FrankWalks Season 1. The partnership is completely authentic as Frank drinks the product religiously and it has helped him ween off soda. Thank you @rhoback, @espn, and @NHL for presenting episodes too.

Thank you to our guests and the endless list of people who helped us get these episodes setup in a variety of ways. The series propelled Frank’s motivation and dedication to a different level and has added decades to his life, thanks to your willingness to give your time and support: @DocGooden16 @CoachSha10 @PKSubban1 @EricLeGrand52 @BBBaumgartner @StanleyCup @PaulRabil @jerryferrara @7BOOMERESIASON @mrcastelluccio @dennyhamlin Don Mattingly @ALLAN_HOUSTON @saquon @stoolpresidente @notthefakeSVP @MikeFrancesa

FrankWalks outcomes:

64+ pounds lost so far
A1C from 9.7% to 6.5%
15k steps per day
New sustainable lifestyle
Ben Klein did a remarkable job filming, editing, and producing almost every episode. Jake Bass, Booz, Jackie, and everyone else in production were great to work with as well. Long pieces of content are only as good as its production team. Ben is an emerging star.

MikeyBets (started the movement) and Frank are the guys I work with every single day. Their dedication to the show and willingness to drop anything and everything whenever we had a shot at a good guest made it a lot easier to grind out 18 episodes. Our intern Harrison was also a big impact player for the team when he started this summer

Keys for Season 2:

Shorter episodes
Opportunistic episode drops (we won’t let episodes sit for weeks even if we get a flurry done at once)
More confrontations between Frank and players / coaches he has been unreasonable to online. We want Frank to be held accountable and he can take the heat. He welcomes it
Eclectic guests: we want to keep you entertained with a wide variety of topics that interest Frank

Stoolies and Tank’s Army are the BEST. Everyone who has bought a FrankWalks shirt, watched an episode, subscribed, or supported us in any way … thank you most of all.

Frank lives to entertain you and as long as you keep watching, the show goes on.

Anudder season coming up
