My take is that pride blinded Cain and he became the first murderer, 'fratricide'.
The forever war has been between Seth's Line (third son of Adam and Eve) and the line of Cain.
Tubal-Cain of the 7th generation of Cain was the first blacksmith. He forged metal weapons that enhanced the killing of mankind.
Tubal-Cain's other siblings are responsible for musical instruments, makeup, and jewelry.
My take is the 'Way of Cain' forced itself into the world hence the flood.'
Somehow I believe Cain's bloodline was in the Ark and restarted their Agenda of World Dominance again with Nimrod.
