Seeing Through God's Eyes: A Reflection on 1 Samuel 16:7

**Today we are going to reflect on 1 Samuel 16:7.**

> "But the Lord said to Samuel, 'Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.'"

**Reflection:**
This verse reminds us that God's perspective is different from ours. While we often judge by external factors such as appearance, status, or accomplishments, God looks deeper, into the heart. He values our inner character, intentions, and faithfulness. This teaches us to cultivate a pure and sincere heart, seeking to align our motives and actions with God's will rather than striving to meet human standards.

**Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, grateful for Your wisdom and understanding. Teach us to look beyond the surface and to see the true value of a person's heart. Help us to resist the temptation to judge others based on outward appearances or worldly standards.

Lord, we ask that You search our hearts and reveal any areas where we fall short. Purify our intentions and help us to seek righteousness in all that we do. Give us the strength to live lives that are pleasing to You, reflecting Your love, compassion, and grace.

As we go about our daily lives, may we be instruments of Your peace, treating others with kindness and respect. Let Your Holy Spirit guide us in making decisions that honor You and show Your love to those around us. Strengthen our faith and help us to trust in Your plans, knowing that You see our true selves and love us unconditionally.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
