To all the weddings we have witnessed through rumble, white dress is a must.

Now, if you have ever wondered why that is that women tend to wear white dresses on their wedding day, other than the fact they look very sophisticated and elegant, there is an actual story behind the whole tradition. So, back in 1840, Queen Victoria was the one to start this trend by making a all white dress for her wedding. Before Victoria, women wore very colorful dresses and were unique in their pick. Also, they chose dresses that were meant for several different occasions which is very different from today. Do you happen to know someone that has worn their wedding dress anywhere else than their own wedding?

Back then or maybe the idea behind the white dress was that you were wealthy enough to have your dress cleaned, therefor it is very white. However, the Queen chose a white dress not to symbolize wealth or purity, but to highlight the lace of her gown, in the hopes to boost the struggling lace industry in England. She also made sure that no one other than her brides mates wore white on her wedding day.
