The pronouncement of judgment continues against the religious establishment who feel secure in their sin and neglect their duties. Amos confronts Amaziah, a corrupt priest, who accuses him falsely. The book ends with a promise of restoration and the ultimate victory of God. The key themes include judgment, truth-telling, pride, exile, hunger for truth, restoration, and God's ultimate victory.
