The IDF located two approach tunnels in Sajaya that reach the border fence with Israel.
The tunnels were located as part of the operation that has been going on for almost two weeks in Sajaya, one of the focal points of which is the detection and destruction of tunnels that have not yet been destroyed in the Sajaya neighborhood.
According to the IDF, the two tunnels located next to the fence, in front of Nahal Oz, are of "standard" size, and there were intelligence signs of their existence that led to their location. It is estimated that they were not used by the Hamas terrorists who infiltrated Israel on 7/10, but that they were in the hands of Hamas as a tool which can be used for offensive operations in the future.

In addition, 4 more approach tunnels were destroyed in the Sajaya area, and now the IDF is working to destroy several more tunnels located in the area.

Among the tunnels that were destroyed - a tunnel that is defined as the "flagship tunnel" of the Islamic Jihad in Sajaya. It is 2.5 kilometers long, and command and control positions with computers, as well as charges and RPG rockets were located there. The things found at the site show the attempts of Hamas and Jihad to restore their power in the Sajaya neighborhood and renew the axes of command and control in the neighborhood.
So far, since the beginning of the operation in the neighborhood, about 150 terrorists have been eliminated.
