Info from Licensor: "After riding out hurricane Beryl on our sailboat anchored in Grenada, we sailed to Carriacou today to deliver some much-needed supplies. It’s so bad, and I mean bad. 98% of homes are gone, probably the majority of the boats aren't salvageable. People have lost everything. We haven't even made it up in the hills yet. We talked to some residents and they are sad, very sad. One gentleman told us before he left his house he packed a bag of clothing. When the hurricane passed he returned to his home from the shelter. The only thing left was that bag of clothes he packed. His exact words were 'no plates, no spoons, no furniture. It was all gone.' Our next focus was to check on those living on boats. I can’t put into words how bad it is. It feels apocalyptic. We offered food and water and any assistance we could provide to help salvage their boats. People were surprised to see us and very thankful. Several catamarans are upside down in the water. One man said he saw boats flying through the air flying towards him, yet he had minimal damage and left the mangroves today. Two other boats were able to leave the mangroves today to anchor in the bay. The anchorage in the mangroves wreaked of sewage. It’s unreal to witness. I can’t express how thankful we are to have made it without a scratch. There’s so much destruction and work to be done to get everyone back on their feet. We are here to help these people."
