Even more today than when the film was made in 1987, Robocop captures the essence of the conflict of perception between the public and the police, the dangers of privatizing public safety, and the duality of police officers as both citizens of their communities and instruments of state coercion. It packs a lot into an action flick about a gunfighter cyborg.

I’d buy that for a Dollar.
