Dear Pastor Bob: I have been to Churches where the elders pray for the Holy Spirit to lead as the pastor delivers his sermon. They pray for the Holy Spirit to guide the sermon so that the preacher says what the Holy Spirit wants him to say to those in attendance. But I have noticed Scripture being taken out of context during the sermons. If they prayed for the Holy Spirit’s leading, it seems like the Bible passages wouldn’t be taken out of context. Do you have any thoughts on this?
