Thousands of Israelis took to the streets of Tel Aviv on Sunday, calling on the government to reach a ceasefire agreement in order to facilitate the return of the hostages currently held by Hamas. The protesters’ ‘Day of Disruption’ began at exactly 6:29 a.m., the moment Hamas launched the first rockets towards Israel on October 7.

As well as demonstrations in Tel Aviv, Sunday saw protesters block highways across the country, calling for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to resign.

Around 120 Israeli hostages are thought to still be in captivity; over 100 were released in November as part of a ceasefire deal, but talks have stagnated since then.
