Edwin Armstrong: The Invention of FM Radio

Virtually unknown today Edwin Howard Armstrong (December 18, 1890–February 1, 1954) was an American inventor and one of the greatest engineers of the 20th century. He is best known for developing the technology for FM (frequency modulation) radio. Armstrong won numerous patents for his many inventions involving radio technology.
