The corn is ripening

The first heads of corn are almost ripe in the large garden. I think in a week it will be possible to harvest. This is only our second year of gardening. Last year we had a good corn harvest.

This year the summer is very hot. Nature is not conducive to a good corn harvest. Since corn is usually watered last. And often it doesn’t water at all :) In our rural life, we have learned to set priorities correctly. Expensive vegetables (tomatoes, peppers) and flowers are watered first. And then all the other plants are watered.
