New prosthetic tech helps amputees walk more naturally

A research team at MIT has been showcasing a pioneering technology, which aims to allow amputees to walk with a more natural gait. Video from the team shows a new mind-controlled prosthetic leg in action, demonstrated by the wearer walking up and down stairs with more nuanced movement, thanks to an implanted interface which allows the brain and nervous system to control the limb in a much more realistic manner.
