Bronny James comes '4' Lakers in summer league debut: Results, highlights and reactions

Saturday's NBA summer league debut for Bronny James astonished him since the city where his father fought some of his toughest NBA Finals struggles welcomed him warmly.

"The atmosphere," Bronny stated when asked what most startled him following the Los Angeles Lakers's 108-94 loss to the Sacramento Kings to start the California Classic. "It surpasses what I had anticipated. Though I mean it's a major game for me, I wasn't sure whether Golden State officials would attend to represent me. That was rather lovely to behold.

In 22 minutes James ended with 4 points on 2-for--9 shooting, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal.

Coach of L.A.'s G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, Dan Johnson began Bronny, 19, along with Colin Castleton, 24, Sean East II, 24, Dalton Knecht, 23, and Maxwell Lewis, 21.
