Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts
80g breadcrumbs
30g grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 egg
40g all-purpose flour
cooking oil
4 tbsp marinara sauce
100g shredded gouda
some chopped fresh parsley for garnishing

1. Cut the 2 chicken breasts lengthwise into halves, making 4 cutlets.

2. In a wide shallow container, combine the bread crumbs, parmesan, garlic powder, herbs, salt, and black pepper.

3. Dredge the cutlets in the flour, then dip them in the egg mixture, and finally coat them with the breadcrumbs.

4. Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the chicken and cook on the first side until golden brown, about 5 minutes.

5. Flip the chicken and turn the heat down to medium-low. Spread 1 tbsp of marinara sauce onto each cutlet and sprinkle with shredded gouda cheese.

6. Cover with a lid so that the cheese can melt, and cook for about 5-7 more minutes.

7. Garnish with some chopped parsley (optional).
