Jack London: An American Original

Jack London was an American novelist, journalist and activist. A pioneer of commercial fiction and American magazines, he was one of the first American authors to become an international celebrity and earn a large fortune from writing. He was also an innovator in the genre that would later become known as science fiction as well as an innovator in terraced agriculture and animal husbandry. London was a race realist. His heroes were always tough-minded White men, and London supported the White working-class of America against what he saw as the oppression of capitalism. London decried free-market exploitation of White workers.
