Humanoid robots in the spotlight at technology conference

At the World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2024, experts highlighted the transformative potential of humanoid robots in various industries, marking a new era in AI development.

Hosted by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Humanoid Robots Forum gathered AI and robotics specialists to unveil cutting-edge innovations and discuss their applications and future challenges.

Wang Xiangyun, managing partner of Peakview Capital, emphasized that humanoid robots are pivotal in advancing towards Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and embodying AI capabilities.

Oliver Tian from the International Alliance of Robotics predicted the onset of Industrial Revolution 5.0, where advanced technology and AI-driven robots collaborate with humans to enhance workplace efficiency.

The conference also spotlighted Embodied AI and humanoid robots through four specialized forums, exploring their technological advancements and application prospects, Shine has reported.
