Derek is a US Army Sniper and 20+ year veteran of the armed forces.

PTSD can happen to anyone that experiences mental trauma and can come up many years later. Derek wanted to tell his story to let others know that they are not alone, and there is always someone out there to help if you are willing to make the effort towards recovery. As he said in the video "There are people out there that care, find the ones that do".
