Eddy Company: The marina area was once home to the E.B. Eddy Company, a Canadian pulp and paper company. It started in 1854 when Ezra Butler Eddy began making wooden matches in Hull. Over time, the business expanded into the pulp and paper industry, and in 1891, it was renamed the E.B. Eddy Company1.🚢⛴️⛵
Eddy Street and Promenade du Portage: An old photo near the intersection of Eddy Street and Promenade du Portage shows the Bank of Montreal and the Bank Hotel, which still stand today.

Conversion to Hull Marina: The Hull Marina was opened in 1983 on the site of the former Railway Dock and Humber Dock. It’s now a marina for pleasure boats managed by British Waterways Marinas Limited (BWML)2.
Old Dock (Queens Dock): Originally constructed in 1807, it opened to shipping in 1809. It closed in 1967 and later reopened as part of the marina in 19833.
