Hezbollah launches barrage of rockets at Israel after top commander killed

Hezbollah says it has fired 100 rockets towards northern Israel. The assault is part of around ten operations on Wednesday, targeting Israeli military sites.

That action follows an Israeli strike on the Haouch area, in the Lebanese city of Tyre, which killed a senior Hezbollah commander.

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant says that the military is ready to take whatever action is required in Lebanon - including fighting on the ground.
