Formula One: Built to Win (NES - 1990) playthrough, part 2/14 - Miami & Yellowstone

I move up to the International C license in Miami, which increases the price of Nitro as well as adding a lap to the races. I shouldn't have upgraded as much as I did on the Mini, as in Yellowstone, I'm unable to win the higher priced race, Great Divide. Instead, I should have gone for replacing the Mini with the Vector. Going my route does show the feature of getting tips if you don't finish in the money, i.e. finishing below 3rd. After trying, and failing, to win Great Divide with the 5MPH top speed boost from the FRP chassis, I grind for money by repeatedly winning Deep Forest (25:40 - 37:55) to afford the $30,000 Vector W2 (I'd never even heard of this car before playing this game). I go from being unable to finish in the money with the Mini to winning with the Vector without needing to use any Nitro.

This is one of my favorite racing/driving games. It was actually the first game I bought for my NES after buying the console from a cousin in 1989.

Played on a front loading NES, running it through a RetroTINK 5X-Pro to an Elgato HD60 X capture card. Recorded in OBS Studio.
