Airedale Terrier Puppy Opens Child Proof Baby Gate

A clever dog got caught on the all-seeing eye of the video camera in the process of what appears to be every parent’s nightmare – the clever dog opened the baby's gate, placed there with the intent to prevent both the uncontrolled wandering of the animal around the house and of the baby’s perilous wanderings down the stairs.

The video shot on May 14, 2018, in Sycamore, Illinois, USA, shows a 7-month-old Airedale Terrier puppy who, without any difficulty, is doing an entire and pretty complex operation on a safety door. The owners of the dog were very amazed by this behavior of their clever pup. The dog, repeats the process, even despite the reprimands given by the owner standing nearby.

Airedale Terriers have a good-natured and moderately complaisant character. They are active and mischievous dogs. They are very smart and excellent in training, but only if they perceive you as an authority. In the absence of the owners, they know well how to occupy themselves. In general, these dogs are very playful and love attention, so they have a bit of difficulty to tolerate loneliness. They are freedom-loving dogs which is easily supported by the fact that they simply do not tolerate the leash, fences or any barriers.
