Mae Nutt (Grandma Marijuana), a mother who testified before the Supreme Court on behalf of her son, Keith, who used cannabis to ease his pain and relieve his nausea from cancer, is interviewed by Casper Leitch of Time 4 Hemp in 1991.

Keith Nutt passed away on October 21,1979 due to complications from cancer. That same day, Michigan passed a medical cannabis law, after testimony by the Nutt family.

Mae Nutt recounts her experiences with obtaining marijuana for medical purposes in Michigan during the late 1970s, when it was still illegal. She shares stories of providing marijuana to other patients in need and advocating for its legalization, which resulted in a bill being passed in 1979.

Mae Nutt also discusses the life-saving effects of marijuana on individuals with various health conditions, such as cancer, epilepsy, and AIDS. She mentions organizations like the (MARS) Marijuana AIDS Research Service and encourages viewers to become more vocal in their communities to bring awareness to the medicinal benefits of cannabis. Nutt reflects on the challenges older generations face in rethinking their views on marijuana and encourages viewers to trust their instincts and share the information they've learned.
