McDermott Woman Arrested for Aggravated Murder

SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio - Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman states that his 911 communication center received a call around 9:33 am Sunday morning, June 30th, from a neighbor stating there had been a shooting next door. A second 911 call came in from a female claiming that she had shot her boyfriend.

Sheriff Thoroughman stated that deputies and detectives, along with emergency medical personnel, responded to 402 Euton Road McDermott, Ohio and upon their arrival they found a male lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken by air to Saint Mary’s Hospital in West Virginia where he later succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Robert Dean Lewis, age 67, of 2848 Thompson Hill Road Otway, Ohio.

Arrested was Holly Euton~McGhee, age 60, of 402 Euton Road McDermott, Ohio. Euton~McGhee has been charged with Aggravated Murder, a felony of the first degree, Felonious Assault, a felony of the 1st degree, and Obstructing Official Business, a misdemeanor of the 2nd degree. Euton~McGhee is currently being held without bond and will appear in Portsmouth Municipal Court this morning, Monday July, 1, 2024.

Sheriff Thoroughman stated that this is still an ongoing investigation that could result in more charges at a later date.
