Katy Perry's "Woman's World" Lyrics: Honest or Hypocritical?

Katy Perry is set to release a new song in July called "women's world". After displaying the lyrics to the song on the train of a red dress at an event in Paris, the excitement has been building up. With words like "Sexy, confident; so intelligent; She is heaven-sent; So soft, so strong" - it would seem as though this is a nod to women, in being able to embrace the things that make women unique, strong, and most importantly - separate from men. However, Perry's dedicated activism in feminist and LGTBQIA movements fall in direct contradiction to the words she is singing about. It seems as though its just one more blatant demonstration of how disconnected Hollywood is from reality, and how important it is not to let these people influence our culture, our youth, or our policies.
