The Mirage Erupting Volcano: The show goes on during the last nights before permanent closing

The iconic Mirage Volcano, which has been erupting nightly for 34 years in front of the Mirage Hotel & Casino with spewing fire and intense heat, goes off during the last show of the night within two weeks of its permanent closure. The hotel that Steve Wynn built in 1989 and began the current era of mega-resorts on the Strip stops taking reservations on July 14, 2024, and permanently closes on July 17, 2024. It is scheduled undergo 3 years of redesign and construction before reopening in 2027 as Hard Rock Las Vegas, featuring a 720 ft. tall guitar-shaped hotel tower which will be built where this volcano currently resides.
