Stray Puppy had been suffering from sight problem he is Now safe and healthy.
An animal center received a stray dog in not good condition.
the dog named Dex weighed just 10 pounds, needed urgent medical attention.
Dex was in much worse shape than originally thought.
doctors suspected he had been suffering from the condition for up to six months — half his entire life.
His bulging eyes caused him a host of other problems, both of his eyes were infected.
He had painful corneal ulcers from not only the lack of tear production but likely from constant itching and rubbing his face, thus traumatizing his eyes.
He squinted and kept them closed most of the time.
He was also given medicated baths to soothe his inflamed skin. To save his sight, his foster mom had to administer five different eye drops every two hours.
Rescuers worried that after suffering for so long, Dex wouldn’t be able to recover. but Dex proved them wrong.
After a week or so, he became relaxed enough to start wagging his tail, after another week, he started enjoying chews, toys and interacting with other dogs.
Legacki, who had previously adopted two dogs from same Rescue center adopted him.
In just a few short months, the little pug had gone from living alone on the streets, gaining a warm home, five rescue dog siblings and a loving human family.
Dex doesn’t hesitate to play fight with his much larger brothers and sister for ownership of certain favored stuffed toys, and any scraps of food that cross his path.
