California wildfire forces thousands to evacuate

The Thompson wildfire, ignited early Tuesday (July 2), has rapidly spread across northern California, consuming over 2,000 acres. Fuelled by dry conditions and high winds, the blaze has forced thousands of residents from several towns to evacuate.
