In June 2024, the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Canada's Parliament (NSICOP) released a heavily-redacted report on alleged 'foreign interference' in Canada's democratic processes and institutions.

In a discussion with author and activist Yves Engler, Lascaris explains that NSICOP's "explosive" and "damning" report is, in fact, devoid of hard evidence. According to Lascaris, NSICOP has deferred slavishly to the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), which has demonstrated over many years that it cannot be trusted to tell Canadians the truth.

The real objectives of NSICOP's report, Lascaris argues, is to generate public support for war, military spending and censorship.

During the interview, Lascaris referred to an article he recently authored which examines NSICOP's report and CSIS's extensive record of deception. That article can be found here: https://dimitrilascaris.org/2024/06/30/is-canadas-parliament-concealing-embarrassing-information-about-canadas-allies/
