Chris Howard, chairman of the nominating committee, gave his report at the 2024 Missouri GOP State Convention in Springfield, MO. Three slates were presented: Truly Grassroots for Trump, Conservative Women for Trump, and MO GOP Chairman Nick Myers' slate.

Per the convention rules, all slates must have 27 delegates and 27 alternates. The Truly Grassroots for Trump slate was the only slate that adhered to the convention rules - requiring 27 and 27. The other two slates were deemed incomplete, per the rules by the nominating committee chair.

The convention chairwoman, Sophia Shore, proceeded to follow the convention rules and gave both incomplete slates more than 30 minutes to combine or reconfigure their respective slates and resubmit them for a delegation vote.

After more than 45 minutes, Missouri GOP Chairman Nick Myers withdrew his slate and the Conservative Women for Trump slate did not meet the 27 delegate/27 alternate threshold. As a result, the nominating chairman Chris Howard announced that the Truly Grassroots for Trump slate was elected - by acclamation - to represent Missouri at the RNC Convention in Milwaukee.
