Super Soldier Talk – Jimmy Paine – Mcallister TV

Linda Harris was born in Washington DC. and grew up in the DC / Northern Virginia area. She was married at an early age however, after 8 years her husband passed away. She found herself back in school and eventually landed at Ringling School of Art and Design, in Sarasota Florida, where she graduated with honors in 1982 and earned degrees in Illustration and Visual Communication. Afterwards, she moved to Atlanta Georgia, where she freelanced and took a part time job teaching, at the Art Institute of Atlanta.

As the result of a serious hand injury in 1983, she abandoned her goals of being a Commercial Artist. Almost two and a half years and six surgeries later, she applied as an intern at Headline News and began television experience, while receiving workman’s compensation.

That same year she was hired upstairs at CNN, where she remained for 17 years. This was during the old CNN days, when Ted Turner used to walk around the newsroom in his pajamas, with a cocktail in his hand, and mingle with the plebs. During this time (in the 1990s) she produced a local cable show that aired for 10 years. The show focused on pop culture and the club scene in Atlanta, and it was called “OOO La la!”. She won several awards for the show during that time period and received 7 National Emmy Nominations and 6 International Broadcast Awards. After that she moved to NYC and worked for ESPN Classic, as an Art Director, for a show called “Classic Now”. Some networks she freelanced for: ESPN, msnbc, CBS, NBC, and she was eventually hired as a permalancer at LIFETIME.

When on Long Island, she wrote a column for The Southampton Press called “History, Mystery and Murder”, where I researched historical crimes on the East End of Long Island. When her book proposal was finished, and looking for an agent, Donald Trump and Melania came down the escalator, and announced that he was going to “…build a wall…” and nothing has been the same since. NO..
