Wade Wilson, a 30-year-old Florida man, is currently on trial for the brutal murders of two women in Cape Coral. The victims, Christine Melton, 35, and Diane Ruiz, 43, were killed within hours of each other in October 2019.
Diane Ruiz went missing on October 7th while walking to her job at a nearby bar. Wilson, driving a car stolen from Melton's home, approached her and asked for directions. He then coerced her into the car, where he strangled her and proceeded to run her over. Her body was discovered on October 10th in a field behind a Sam's Club. Ruiz was a mother of two sons aged 29 and 19.
Wilson's father disclosed that his son admitted to him that he killed Ruiz in this manner. Wade Wilson faces charges of two counts of first-degree murder, along with grand theft, battery, burglary, and petty theft. The alleged motive behind these crimes, according to reports, was "for the sake of killing."
