Reflecting on Movies and Friendship: A Sobriety Journey - Day 144

Hello everyone,

Today, on day 144 of my sobriety journey, I planned to talk about movies that have impacted my life, like Stand By Me and Shawshank Redemption. These films hold a special place in my heart and have influenced me deeply.

However, while discussing these movies, I was reminded of one of my oldest friends who is still struggling with addiction. Despite my efforts to help him, he's become unresponsive, and it weighs heavily on my mind. This video ended up being more about my worries for him and how time seems to fly by. When we were young, life felt endless, but now, in our mid-forties, everything seems to have changed so quickly.

My friend appears stuck in the past, unable to move forward, unlike myself who has sought help and support. It's a tough situation, and I talk about the emotional toll it takes on me.This wasn't the direction I intended for today’s video, but it's an important part of my journey. I appreciate you all being here with me through these ups and downs.
