3 Simple Fitness Truths for Men over 40

1. Consistency > Intensity

In my 20’s it was always about ego lifts, how much weight I could move, my PR’s and pushing my body to the limits. I had the mindset that intensity = results.

I still train with intent and intensity but as I’ve gotten older I’ve realized that consistency, what I can safely do daily compounds more than what I can do occasionally. Be consistent.

2. You can’t outwork a Bad diet

You’ve heard this before, but as we get older it’s far more important to fuel the Ferrari with good high quality food than garbage. Metabolism can slow so eating for outcome and not pleasure is far more of a priority.

3. It’s never too late to get in the best shape of your life.

I am sure n the best shape of my life at 40 and I believe its due 100% to my mindset and maturity. I know there is less time than I think and I’ve attached greater meaning to longevity, health and intentionality and it’s allowed me to get better results more efficiently.
