In the 1970’s, the Pharaoh of Egypt Ramesses II, or rather his mummy, desperately needed medical treatment. It could be provided in France, but that meant that the ancient Egyptian would have to travel abroad and needed a passport. He was more than 3,000 years old, so there were many concerns, but eventually, Egyptian authorities granted their permission and issued the document making him the only pharaoh in history who had one.
