Ryan Garcia confronted by Bill Haney on Instagram live. During an Instagram Live stream, Devin Haney’s father and trainer, Bill Haney, confronted Ryan Garcia about his recent positive drug test, which led to their fight being ruled a no contest. Bill Haney questioned Garcia directly about why he would cheat in the fight against his son.

Garcia responded emphatically, denying any wrongdoing: “I never cheated, I never would cheat, I’ve never cheated in my career. Whatever I got popped for, had to be tainted and I don’t care what you say, I don’t care what nobody say, I know I never cheated in my life. And I put that on my mom that has cancer.”

Bill then asked why Garcia pleaded guilty to the usage with NYSAC if he claimed to be innocent. Garcia explained that he opted for the plea to avoid a potentially indefinite suspension, stating, “It was either that or I go to the court, or the hearing, and even if I win the hearing they said that no matter what they could suspend me. So I just took the year and said whatever. I know I didn’t cheat, I don’t need to cheat.”

When pressed on how Ostarine entered his system, Garcia attributed it to supplements provided by a person named Scooter, who was helping him lose weight. Garcia detailed the intense weight loss process and maintained that the supplements were tainted, although he couldn’t name the specific supplement, which led to skepticism from Bill Haney.

Garcia insisted, “Scooter gave me the supplements, I took the supplements, and then I tested positive. I don’t know what he gave me. I’m being real with you, I don’t even got to be on this live. I’m being real.”

Bill Haney then pointed out the inconsistency in Garcia's narrative, questioning why he floated conspiracy theories involving Victor Conte if he was taking last-minute supplements. Garcia defended his skepticism, saying, “A man that was banned from another sport is helping you out. Devin Haney, in your son, can lose so much weight but then gain so much weight and still fight for 12 rounds. That screams cheating.”

Despite the confrontation, Garcia continued to deny any intentional wrongdoing and maintained his stance on the issue.
