This study deals with what is often mis-named as “Replacement Theology” but in reality, is Divine Commission Theology. Clearly, before a Nation, or individual is outright “Fired” our Creator / Redeemer shows Longsuffereing, and the willingness to give His commissioned ones, another chance: Aaron after the Golden Calf, is a perfect example. But even His Longsuffering las a just limit.
Yet we don’t like to think of this about GOD. Maybe because we (Christians), are testing His Mercy. But His Name is His Character: Exodus 34:6-7 “And the LORD passed by before him [Moses], and proclaimed,.. The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and Truth, 7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.”
Could it be, that He Who Changes not, is today, no Respecter of Persons, or Nations? His Power comes with His Commission, while we have time, let us by grace, live up to the Family Name. Maranatha
