This installment centers around the Walt Disney Company's first Broadway production based on the animated feature Beauty & the Beast.

Beauty & the Beast was the first Disney animated feature adapted into a Broadway production. This practice has become commonplace. When it opened, Beauty & the Beast was a huge commercial success but shunned by the elites and shunned from the Tonys. It ultimately won other awards and became the tenth longest running show in Broadway history. The show ran from 1994 through 2007.
