SBC Family,

Tomorrow we get to study what I really wanted to study last week! Sometimes there are more details than I suspect are needed for it to all make sense. We’ve been through the Birth, Life, Death, and Resurrection of the King. Now we’ve discussed how the theme of the Gospel’s is that He came to His own and His own did not receive Him. The kingdom was offered, but now it will be postponed. He set out to prepare His apostles for their ministry in the church, the new body that was forming that would be distinct from national Israel. The church will be the spiritual nucleus of the kingdom to come. This means that we will rule with the King as immortals over mortals for 1,000 years. But, before we get to all that, we have to discuss the significance of the ascension of Christ through the heavenlies to the right hand of the Father and the strategic position He holds at the helm of the universe. What does this mean of the beginning of the church, the sending of the Spirit, and the spiritual battles that we face.

Check the attached handout.

Blessings and love. Thank you for serving in the capacity you do. Thank you for prayer. Thank you for holding fast. Keep persevering!

Jeremy
