New York City Now Has Armed Moped Gangs Robbing People Of Their Watches

Posted • June 29, 2024: Police investigate armed thefts of watches at New York City restaurants with suspects on mopeds. The first robbery happened on Friday, May 31, at around 6;47 p.m. in front of 81 Broadway in Brooklyn. The second incident occurred in front of 181 Thompson Street in Manhattan at around 8;46 p.m. on June 18. The third incident happened at a restaurant on Grand Street in Brooklyn on June 21. No arrests have been made. Investigations into the robberies are ongoing.
