The Acolyte Star Throwing Shade at Disney Star Wars

The latest Disney+ Star Wars series, The Acolyte, has been getting a lot of pushback from long time Star Wars fans for the show breaking established lore. However, the some of the praise from one of the show’s star is also indirectly an attack on Disney Star Wars in general.

Dafne Keen, who plays Jedi Padawan Jecki Lon, praised showrunner Leslye Headland for her willingness to kill off main characters. This can be interpreted as an attack on past Disney Star Wars shows like Ahsoka where in it Sabine Wren survived being impaled by a lightsaber in the first episode. However, even if this decision is done well for The Acolyte it would appear it’s not good enough to keep the show running.
