I did this Hike on 5/13/2024, it is approximately 0.6 Miles, 100 FT Elevation Gain Roundtrip to Little ZigZag Falls, and it was my first time doing it!. I have read some reports that claim it is up to 1 Mile One-Way, 2 Miles Roundtrip, either way it is one of the VERY BEST Low Effort to High Reward Payoff Ratio Hikes in the entire Mount Hood National Forest!!!!!!!!!!!! The Trail is high quality, well manicured. There are a few areas you must practice situational awareness and step over/around rocks in the trail, but overall its a very high quality smooth trail and never feels unsafe. When you get to a fork near Little ZigZag Falls, the trail to the right takes you to a Moneyshot of the Front of Little ZigZag Falls and a scenic viewing rustic log bench.....the trail to the left takes you up to the top of/above Little ZigZag Falls and ends there. The trail up does require a little surer footing due to some rocks/roots in the trail, so that part of it may not be for everyone, but please keep in mind that the main draw is definitely the path to the right to the main viewing area of Little ZigZag Falls which is very smooth, safe and easily accessible. Overall I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Little ZigZag Falls Trail as easily a Top 5 Waterfall Hike in the Mount Hood National Forest area with such a short Hike to get to the Waterfall Zone it is EXTREMELY high quality!
