Last time I went home for a visit, as I was getting ready to leave, I had to give Scooty and Wullumbin a few last treats. I tried to give them as much attention as I could because I didn't know when I would be able to see them again. It didn't feel safe to be there for long, and I wasn't wrong.... within 24 hours of leaving, one neighbor stabbed another just 2 doors down!
I miss the animals and the garden terribly and can't wait to see them again.
I hope they are coping okay with the agro people up the road, their loud fast vehicles, and killer dogs :(
