How to simplify when the exponent is a fraction

Simplifying numbers with whole numbers as exponents aren’t too bad. But what do we do if the exponent is a fraction?

In this case, we break down the fraction into two components. The fraction is 3/2 so we will simplify the number to 1/2 power and then to the 3 power.
