Dead Roses

Roses are born and die in the garden all the time. Blooming roses are often on video. But I have never shown dead roses on purpose. This is a whole rose bush that has faded. The roses were pink. But now the dead petals are almost beige and gray.

The death of a flower is as much a result of gardening as the birth of a flower. It seems to me that dead roses have a specific beauty. This bush will produce fresh flowers several times instead of dead flowers. Roses are born and die all summer long. Nature wants it that way. And by gardening we support this process.
